Winter, 2013

Doing this from my phone so I'm not sure where the text will show up. But, in order -not sure from top to bottom or the reverse :) here is what we have been up to recently.

Our only real snow this year! It did end up covering the ground but melted by the time we got home from church the next day.

Trevor celebrated his Golden birthday this year. I never heard of that before but terry explained to us that its the year of the date you were born...Trevor was born on the 7th so it is his 7th bday. We went to a fun trampoline and foam pit place to celebrate.

Trevor joined Cub Scouts and Savannah joined Frontier Girls this year. These are their pine wood derby cars.

We started homeschooling this year. We enjoy periodic activities with other homeschool friends throughout the month. We made cards and cookies and then delivered them to the fire station where we then got a tour.

Another "field trip" we took with friends to the aviation museum.

Summer, 2012

Charleston, SC

Savannah lost one of her flip flops in this fountain.  Trevor was so sweet and gave her one of his to walk around in.

We went on our annual beach trip with our playgroup friends but I didn't have a picture of all of us.

 Last day of Kindergarten!

 Trip to Michigan to visit Michelle's family.  While we were there we got to ride on an Amtrak train to a nearby city and went to a science museum.

 We went to the coffee shop where we had our first date. :)

 First day of 1st and Kindergarten.  We decided to home school and started in July with 3x a week.  We just transitioned to 5x a week but will take some extra breaks here and there.  So far, so good! :)

 They love sleeping together on the weekends but usually don't end up lasting more than 20 minutes.  They really like to irritate each other some times. :)

Savannah is learning to ride her bike.  She can ride but we are still working on the stopping, stopping without falling over, and starting.  So glad for the cooler weather now!

December, 2011

We met Terry's parents in Asheville and stayed with them in their kitchen car (aka rv) for a couple of days.

Lots of fun at Christmas! Along with his parents, Terry's two brothers and their families joined us. 8 kids under 6!

October and November, 2011

We went camping with 3 other families (we didn't take many pictures!) and went apple picking. There was a torrential downpour that night!!

Uncle Kirk came to visit for Thanksgiving! Gotta love NC...short sleeved shirts at the end of November!

One tradition we have is making ornaments over Thanksgiving weekend to decorate the "kids" Christmas tree.

Happy 4th Birthday, Savannah (September)

Trevor's first day of kindergarten. He didn't do so well the first couple of weeks. But, with the help of a great teacher assistant we are making progress! (Notice who is already in the doorway of Trevor's class!!)

We had more boys than girls for Savannah's party and I knew the boys wouldn't appreciate a princess party again. I was able to talk Savannah into a Tinkerbell party...which became a Peter Pan party. I had so much fun decorating I thought I would share these!
